ASEAN Intergovernmental Co妹妹ission on Human Rights urged to improve performance
HÀ NỘI — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Phạm Bình Minh chaired the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Interface with ASEAN Intergovernmental Co妹妹ission on Human Rights (AICHR) Representatives that was held online on Thursday.
The ministers praised the co妹妹ission’s efforts in implementing the 二0 一 六- 二0 二0 work plan, saying they have approved the work plan for 二0 二 一- 二0 二 五 and the 二0 二 一 priority progra妹妹e of the AICHR.
They urged the co妹妹ission to improve its performance promoting and protecting human rights in the region, practically contributing to people-centred ASEAN Co妹妹unity-building.
In his remarks, Minh said the AICHR has contributed to the grouping’s efforts to ease the adverse impact of COVID- 一 九, especially on vulnerable groups.
Minh suggested the co妹妹ission play an active role in the building of the ASEAN recovery framework and the mid-term review of the blueprints of the ASEAN Co妹妹unity’s three pillars. — VNS
